1. Animals in Australia When driving in Australia, people have to watch for animals in the road like kangaroos. Kangaroos are big jumping animals. Kangaroos can be taller than a man and weigh 85 kgs. There are 40 different species of kangaroos. Wallabies are another animal found in Australia. They get their name from the Eora Aboriginal tribe. Wallabies that are not old are called ‘’Joeys.’’ Dingo's are wild dogs that were originally from South East Asia. They live in forests and dry plains. They eat rats, kangaroos, birds, rabbits, lizards, and some farm animals. They eat their food in large chunks. By AL

4. Animals Animals in Australia Dingo's are wild dogs and they live in South East Asia. People had to also watch for animals in the road in Africa but they had to watch out for animals like Kangaroos, Wombats, and Brumbies (Wild horses.) It is not what we look out for, it is way different!!!!! Dingo's like to be in forests and dry plains. They in large chunks. They eat rat's, kangaroos, bids, rabbits, lizards, and some farm animals. They sometimes called the Dingo's ''three-dog night.''
5. Daintree Rainforest The Daintree Rainforest is the second largest rainforest in the world. The Daintree Rainforest is the oldest rainforest. It is 110 million years old. There is a river that goes through rainforest that is called the Daintree River. There are many animals including 455 species of birds. The Daintree Rainforest has 30% of reptiles, 65% of bats and butterflies, and 20% of birds in the rainforest. The rainfall is drained by the Daintree River. The Daintree Rainforest contains the biggest range of species for animals and plants in the world. The Daintree Rainforest is an amazing place in Australia.
6. Places in Australia By JS Australia is not just some sandy plain. There are beaches and animals that are so amazing a part in the ocean is the Great Barrier Reef. Some people are trying to keep it safe from fishermen. Maybe some day you will go there. As you see in the pictures above there are many flowers that are important to the environment. In 2008, there were over 21,000,000 people who live in this great place. Some great cities are Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

12. Goannas by: PC When white settlers found goannas they thought the goanna was a iguana. Goanna's are found in Australia. One of the most common goannas in Australia is the sand monitor. Goannas can grow six feet and longer. Goannas are bulky with sharp teeth and claws. 20 out of 30 goannas live in Australia. Goannas eat small animals like lizards, insects, snakes, mammals, birds, and eggs.

14. Quokkas by SW Quokkas are very good with people. They have no fear. If they hop, really nothing will happen. They are 40 to 54 centimeters long. Their tail is 25 to 30 centimeters long also. Quokkas lives in southwestern Australia. Quokkas have one baby a year. They are called joeys, just like kangaroos. Some kinds of quokkas are rare. But also, some quokkas are protected on islands. You will find a quokka in southwestern Australia. You probably won’t find a quokka anywhere else either.
