The No Smoking Room website was created by Dartmouth Medical School to promote smoking prevention and cessation among early adolescent females. It provides educational modules on these topics for patients ages 8-11 years old. The website also has a blog for mothers called the No Smoking Moms Blog. It aims to disseminate information through various organizations and social media platforms. Reaching mothers who smoke through social media poses challenges around judgment, anonymity and maintaining engagement given issues of self-esteem and embarrassment.
