After a year or more trying to make money online, I finally
learnt how to make money with a blog , back in mid 2011. It
was one of those Aha moments…
I had been scratching around making a bit of money here and
there online for a while, when I thought about creating free
content in the shape of useful free tips on “guess what.. YES,
making money online.
Now this wasn’t easy, especially as I wasn’t really making more
than a few dollars a week. However, I started to write about
other people’s successes and people liked the daily money
making tips that I produced.
How To Make Money With a Blog –
The Formula I finally Got Right
It started with this very amateurish effort and eventually
turned into this more polished blog which I still add content
to today, although not as often as I would like.
So how do you actually make money blogging?
A blog is a content carrying platform designed to create a
following of people for you, who after time will get to know you,
like you and hopefully trust you. Blogging is not for people who
want to get rich quick.
The more you blog, the more content you have working for
you on the Internet. Your content works for you 24/7 by
attracting people to your useful informative posts & stories,
thus encouraging people to want to know more about you.
By using traffic generation strategies, apart from just relying
on search engine traffic. You can attract people to your
content, and some will click on the offers that you have, via
clickable links within your blog posts.
If you get enough traffic to your blog each day, this can turn
out to be quite profitable and it is not unknown for people to
make their entire living from Blogging.
As I said, you wont get rich quick, but if you offer good value
in your writing, you can quickly accumulate a good following
of people eager to read what you write.
You can then add your offers to the text by inserting a clickable
link just like this one and either send people direct to a sales
page, or send them to a squeeze page to join your mailing list.
This is by far a more effective way to do marketing, than by just
trying to get a complete stranger to click on a link. One way
offers value, the other doesn’t.

How To Make Money With A Blog – Is
There A Short Cut?
Instead of waiting to build a good ranking on Google, which
can take a long time. You could become part of an already
existing highly ranked blogging platform.
This way, you can blog on a platform that already attracts a
lot of traffic. Now, you would still need to deliver interesting
content and do some basic on page SEO, but your chances of
getting more traffic eventually would now increase, seeing as
you are attached to a more highly ranked blog.
This current blog that you are reading is attached to an Alexa
ranked 400 (approx) blog. Meaning that this particular blog is
ranked to be within the top 400 websites in the World. You just
can’t buy that sort of SEO boost for such a low price anywhere
else.
So, let’s sum it all up. You create interesting content regularly.
You fire traffic at your blog and individual blog posts. You sell
products, either your own, or as an affiliate. You then work on
increasing your audience and your income.
That is how to make money with as blog. Now you can add
banners to the sidebar and to the posts themselves, you can
also sell advertising on your blog if you have enough viewers.
You can also monetize your blog with Google’s Adsense
program.
