2. Graham Burton: Target audience Theory Graham Burton theory was that audiences could be split up into 2 groups socially grouped and media grouped. Socially grouped which contains: Age, Gender and Ethnicity. Media grouped which contains: Music they listen to, books & newspapers they read, TV channels they watch, Film genres they like etc. Fiske adds a further Five factors when identifying target audience. Five factors: -Education -Religion -Political allegiance -Region -Urban Vs Rural Fiske: Target audience Theory
