• This advertising campaign is based around the
issue abuse in a relationships.
• It shows a boy wanting to have sex with his
girlfriend and she doesn’t want to then as it goes
on you see him grab her hair and she finally gives
in to sex because shes so scared, you also see the
girl outside the window looking through at
herself and trying to tell herself to get out of
there. This advert is telling people if only people
could see themselves would they see it as
abuse?.
3. Editing techniques:
• Throughout they used a lot of mid-shots so you
can see easily what is going on. They used close
up shots of the girls face when the boy was
pulling her hair so people can see her facial
expression this allows the audience to see how
the girl was feeling.. They used coss cutting
between shots when she was looking at herself
through the window at herself.
Where it was shown:
• They have put this advertising campaign on their
website, youtube and also it has been shown on
TV. This means they are able to have a wide range
of people viewing it .
4. Mise-En-Scene
• In this advertisement the setting is in a bedroom, they have
used props to make it look realistic and also make it look
like a teenagers bedroom and they did this by including a
TV in the bedroom because you can hear the TV in the
background. The lighting is quite sinister so gives the
audience the impression its dreary and show the mood of
the characters.
• In this advertisement they have only used two actors who
played the main parts. They would have needed to get the
camera, lighting and sound equipment for the scene to that
they could set the mood. They didn’t include any statistics
to show the amount of people that the organisation has
helped or how many people do suffer with abuse in
relationships.
6. The content
• The advertising campaign for this organization is
covering abuse , bullying and the effects it has , there
making sure there getting the publics attention but also
it shows they help young people.
• In the advert they show a man talking to his social
worker they work for Bernardoes, then it shows him
going back through time and he gets younger and more
angry as time passes and its showing what first
happened when the man first spoke about his
problems and its now showing us that he’s happy and
Bernardoes has helped him a lot. At the end of the
advertisement a texts comes up saying ‘it doesn’t have
to end like it began’.
7. Mise-En-Scene
• The advert was set in a plain room and all the different actors were
all wearing the same clothes to show they were playing the same
person. There was no background music until the end where it
became sad and the only audio was coming from the actor speaking
and a counselor, as the advert goes on the actors begin to talk more
and its gets more aggressive and then the little boy got scared and
upset because it was showing people what it was like when they
first spoke to Bernardoe’s.
• They have used six different actors who were different ages and all
looked the same. They would have needed to get the camera,
lighting, sound equipment for the scene so they could set the
mood. They didn’t include any statistics to show the amount of
people that the organization has helped and also on how many
children do suffer from abuse.

In the advert they used simple editing techniques
and transitions to get from each different shots,
they also blurred the back ground out so the
audience focus on the person talking. They didn’t
want to use any extreme editing techniques
because then it would take the audience attention
of the person talking.

• The advertising campaign is covering abuse
with women in relationships, in the advert its
showing Kira knightly going on set to do a
scene about abuse but really her husband is
abusing her and as she comes home he
smacks her and kicks her and as the camera
zooms out the room she is in is the scene

• The advert was set in a flat in London, there was only
two actors, there was some music in the background,
Towards the end there is sad music. It was dark outside
to make it scary. Inside the flat the lighting was dark to
give the affect that something bad was going to
happen.
