Regine spends her day in town. She gets lost but finds help from a kind store owner and appliance salesman. A cashier also assists her. Regine learns that if lost, ask someone for help. The story is presented through pictures with voice actors portraying the characters. Technical difficulties occur with the pictures and directing, but friends provide support.
One sunny day, Regine and her father have just moved to their newly-finished house.“Regine, I need some paint for the house. Do you want to go to town with me?” Daddy asked.Regine said, “Yes! Can we look at the toy store too?”“Yes,” said Daddy.
So they hopped into the car and went to town.
When they got to the store, Daddy said, “Stay here by the cash register while I help the man put the paint into the car.”
Regine stood and stood. She waited and waited.
She looked and looked.
Then, Regine, saw the toy counter.
She saw a Barbie doll. She went to see it.
Then she saw a bright blue drum. She went to see it too.
Then Regine saw all the bicycles. She went to see them. She sat down on them. Suddenly, Regine looked up. She felt scared. “Where is Daddy?” Regine got up.
She walked past the appliance store and asked the salesman.
“Excuse me. Have you seen my father? He is tall and he is wearing a gray shirt.”The salesman replied, “I am sorry little girl, but I didn’t see your father, maybe he is a bit farther away from here. Try to look at the lampshade store.”“Thank you, Sir.”
Regine hurried up until she reached the next store, then she met the store owner.
“Good day. I’m looking for my father, have you seen him anywhere? He is tall and he is wearing a gray shirt.”“Go away, little girl! I’m busy and I don’t know where your father is. Shoo!”
Regine left the store disappointed. She walked by and by until she reached the next store. Unfortunately, she didn’t see her father anywhere.
In there, Regine felt like crying. Her stomach hurt, she felt alone.
All of a sudden Regine remembered something that her father told her not long ago.
“Jesus is always with us, Regine. When we’re afraid, we can talk to Jesus.”So Regine said, “Jesus, I’m scared, will you please help me?”
Regine heard a voice say, “Regine where are you?”It was her father. Regine said.“I’m here, father!”
Regine ran to her father and hugged him tightly.“I’m sorry, father. I was really scared, I was lost. I was alone.”
“You didn’t obey me Regine. Please don’t do this again.”“I promise I won’t, Daddy,” promised Regine.
