You are a recent graduate in agricultural economics now working in Canberra
for the government. The Department is sending you on your first big
assignment. You are to investigate the after effects of deregulation of the dairy
industry in order to determine where is the best geographic location for the
dairy industry and where it is going to be profitable for farmers.
You are given to Dairy farms to visit. The first is in sunny NSW, on the
north coast, Taree. The second farm is in Shepparton, Vic. You
have been given a departmental car, so you can also see the local
areas on your drive to each area.
