These lines in the first verse portray that the guy experiencing a worse day
although he expects his imaginations or feelings to occur.

4. THE ORCHESTRA IN MY MIND DON'T PLAY LIKE THIS (NAW)
This line in the first verse conveys that he expects his imaginations to occur in
the real world. He imagines that an orchestra provides background music in
his magical world but he is also aware about the fact that it doesn’t actually
happen in the real world.

5. BUT I'M PREPARED FOR IT
GOT A LIL RARE FOR IT
BRUSHED OFF MY AIRS
EVEN CUT MY HAIR FOR IT
These lines in the first verse conveys that he expects his imaginations to
happen in the real world and also they describe the ways in which he prepares
to face those imaginations in the real world. Getting his haircut done is an
example for this. So far the lyrics in the first verse depicts that a guy is
imagining of a beautiful girl and he is looking for such a girl in the real world
while trying to be more attractive and dominant. Humour could be added to a
music video created for “sunshine” because of these lyrics.

6. NEVER MET HER BEFORE
BUT I THINK I LIKE HER LIKE A METAPHOR
IT'S HARD TO GET IN THE CAR WE SIT
FROM THE INTRO SHE ROLLED DOWN HER WINDOW JUST

I COMPLIMENT HER ON THE COMMON SENSE

A LIL MORE CONFIDENT (UH HUH)
AND THEN WE LOSE CONSCIOUSNESS
The third verse starting from these lines describe about the things happening
when the guy meets his imaginary girl. However it is hard to recognise
whether the description applies to the real world or to the guy’s imaginary
world. But when creating a music video for “Sunshine”, the main storyline
could be written in a way to show that scenes related to these lyrics
happening either in the real world or in the guy’s imaginary world.

7. SHE SAYS "THAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU"
AND I KNOW YOU'VE BEEN CHASING ME TOO
SINCE THEY KIDNAPPED ME FROM A CASTLE
I BEEN THINKING OF YOU
These lines in the third verse are said by the girl. They make it obvious that
the girl has a desire towards the boy as well. These lines provide the ability of
showing the girl’s lip sync when creating a music video for “Sunshine”. Also
they give rise to a conversation between the girl and the boy.

8. I TOLD HER "FIRE BREATHING DRAGON HE BET NOT HARM ME" OR
HE BE SORRY WHEN HE MEETS MY ONE MAN ARMY
AND THOU HAS COME TO RESCUE ME
MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR YES YOU BE
These lines from the third verse show that the
lyrics of “Sunshine” has an intertextual
reference to the famous fairy tale “Sleeping
Beauty”.

Climax of the story lies within this verse. It depicts about the length of their
relationship as well.
