3. THE LEGEND BEGINS
First, take two common household items and combine:

4. RULES – CLEANING GOALS
First, roommates must catalog surfaces to
clean:
1. Tables
2. Floors
3. Carpets
4. Ovens
5. Sinks

5. RULES – SPORTS
Next roommates must choose one of three
sports to compete in:
1. Mitt-Broom Launch
2. Mitt-Broom Golf
3. Mitt-Broom Catapult

6. RULES – COMBINATION GAMES
Roommates must then create a series of rounds
based on the number of areas to clean matched
with one of the sports.
In this case we have 5 possible rounds:
1. Table – Mitt-Broom Launch (Winner cleans
table)
2. Floors – Mitt-Broom Golf (Winner cleans
floors)
3. Carpets – Mitt-Broom Golf (Winner cleans
carpets)
4. Ovens – Mitt Broom Catapault (Winner cleans
ovens)
5. Sinks – Mitt Broom Launch (Winner cleans
sinks)

7. RULES – MITT-BROOM LAUNCH
Mitt-Broom Launch requires the player to load the
mitt on the end of the broom.
• Then the player must launch the mitt down a
hallway using a thrusting or swinging motion.
• Players get 20% higher points for thrusting
motion due to difficulty, if thrusting motion is
chosen
• Points = Distance x Thrusting multiplier

Mitt-Broom Golf can be played on a Par 3, Par
4, or Par 5 course.
• Course ground is apartment floor
• Players must navigate mitt under chair
obstacles using single broom stroke
• Player with lowest broom stroke count to
navigate past last “goal” chair wins

and finesse
• Players must use broom to launch mitt in
catapult fashion into predetermined basket
• Players alternate turns until basket achieved
• Opposing players may match made basket in
one try
• Last remaining player with made basket wins

My overall goal with this game was to make
household chores fun through a simple sport.
Further iterations of this game can employ
gamification concepts to increase engagement.
