2. Main Image
Who?
For my main image I am going to be using a 14 year
old girl. I am going to be using a teenage girl as my
main image because it links in with my target
audience which are teenage girls and from my
research I found that many on the target audience
wanted a female model on the cover of the magazine.
The ethnicity of my model is Asian because I am
going to make my magazine slightly different from
other magazines that usually use white models.
Where?
The setting for my main image would be just a plain
white background because I don’t want the
background of the main image to interfere with the
cover stories it would seem to busy and the audience
will not be clear of the cover lines. So by keeping the
background simple with just plain white the main
focus an be on the main image
When?
The image will be taken using natural lighting so the
mage will be high key (bright lit image). By using
natural the image would be nicer however if lights
are needed to improve the quality of the photograph
lighting will be used during the photographs are
taken.

Who?
For my contents page one of my main images on
my contents page is going to be the same as my
main image because the contents page is going to
direct readers to where the story is going to be in
the magazine. As I am going to use he same image
as my main image I am going to be using a 14 year
old girl. I am going to be using a teenage girl
because it links in with my target audience and my
main image story .

the setting for my main image would be just a plain

4. Contents page: Image #2
Who?
For the ‘boy band’ kind of image, I will use model
ages 16-17 years of age which are males. The
ethnicity of the band would be black males.
Where?
The background that can be used for this ‘ boy
band’ image can be a brick wall. By using a brick
wall background in this image it would show the
type of band it is just showing that it is urban
rather than using a boring plain white background.
When?
The image would be taken during the day it would be
a high key image however the males can pose or
naturalistic stand however they would like so they
feel free to do what they like.
How?
5. Contents page: Image #3
Who?
The image would be of a female and a male, posing
as if they are in love like pop celebrities for example
beyonce and jay-z or perrie from little mix and zayn
from one direction. However this will be a posed
image because the female the male are not truly in
love in this image they are just going acting like they
are.
Where?
The place where this image will be taken place would
be on a background with loads sponsors and adverts
on it just like a premiere couple photo-shoot that
celebrities do when they walk the red carpet. There is
usually a board / screen celebrities stand in front
where paparazzi can take pictures of what they wear
and publish them on their magazines. I would be
using that type of background to mimic the red carpet
of a couple on the red carpet.
When?
Usually the image would be taken at night with a lot
of flash however the image can also be taken
during the day. For the convenience of the models I
will take it during the day so I have high intensity of
light to make the image brighter (mimicking flashing
cameras) and draws attention to the two main
people on the image.
How?
6. Contents page: Image #4
Who?
The image would be of a young male model. The
image will be posed because the young male will
be mimicking a x-factor contestant. He would be
anyway he wants in front of an x-factor logo like
contestants do when the do intro videos for their act
on x-factor.
Where?
The image will be taken in a studio where their
would be a plain background so it would be easier
for me to edit the image onto the actual x factor
sign when it comes to me editing the image it would
be easier for me also there is no need for
complicated background as im going to use another
background image anyway.
When?
the image will be take during the day where there is
high light intensity so the image appears lighter as the
contestant is the main part of the image not the big ‘x’
in the background. The image needs to stand out
from the very busy red background.

7. Double-page spread
Who?
For my double page spread I will also be using a 14
year old girl. I am going to be using a teenage girl as
my double page spread because it links in with my
target audience which are teenage girls and from my
research I found that many on the target audience
wanted a female model on the cover of the magazine,
so I thought that if audience wanted an image of a
female model on a cover they would also want a big
image of a female on a double page spread. The
ethnicity of my model is Asian because I am going to
make my magazine slightly different from other
magazines that usually use white models.
Where?
The setting for my double page would be just a plain
white background because I don’t want the
background to interfere with the main story it would
seem to clash with the text if I decided to use a certain
colour background that is not white. So by keeping the
background simple with just plain white the image is
visible and so Is the story.
When?
The image will be taken during the day so that the
image will be produced high key. Because only one
image is being used its important that the image
draws the readers attention to read the story and
also the image would have to have a relationship
with the story so if it’s a high key image it would be a
happy story as the image is bright representing
happiness/joy.
