6. FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY
• The opening of the Friendship Association Azerbaijan-
Romania in 2001 in Baku, and the Friendship Association
Romania-Azerbaijan in the same year in Bucharest, is one
more step in getting closer our people in
cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
• The honorable chairmen of the Association are: the
President of the Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliev, the President
of Romania Mr. Traian Basescu and the Ambassador of the
Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania Mr. Eldar Hasanov
• The embassy of Azerbaijan in Romania closely cooperates
with the Friendship Association Romania-Azerbaijan that is
inherent factor in the strengthening and expansion of
brotherly Azerbaijan-Romanian relations in all spheres of
human activity.

7. YOUTH AND CULTURAL
ASSOCIATION
• ACTAR - Asociatia Culturala a Tineretului intre Azerbaijan
and Romania (Azerbaijan-Romania Youth and Cultural
Association) was established in 2001 November in
association with ROM-AZER – Asociatia prietenii intre
Azerbaijan si Romania (Azerbaijan-Romania Friendship
Association) and with initiative of Azerbaijan Embassy.
• The number of our members is increasing every day.
Association have filials in many big cities of Romania. The
main purpose is establishing friendship between Azerbaijani
and Romanian youth in all spheres including cultural, sport
and others two nations, but members are also other
nationalities.

8. HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION
IN ROMANIA
• One of directions of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s activity is
promoting popularization of Azerbaijan in the world,
forming the fair public opinion on our nation which
possesses ancient and rich culture. The best way in this
course is to enlarge the action towards strengthening of
relations among nations. For this purpose, Heydar Aliyev
Foundation opens its representations in friendly countries,
cooperates with analogical non-governmental organizations
of those countries. The Foundation has opened
representative offices in the Russian Federation, Romania,
Turkey and USA.
