People buy things from those who believe what they believeFinding and evoking that common WHY? Gets you far more aligned with your customers or prospectsFind the common reason (problem, need, why) and then when they say, but there has to be a better way, now you have something to talk about
Pain addressed could be the benefit to the “collective”:Better efficiency, improved quality, reduced costs…..Gain is how that helps “ME” or “you” or whomever is requiring the convincing…..Examples: Going Green…. Sure it sounds good to the save the planet, but it often required high level of personal incentive or legislation to make the effort go anywhere….Cost savings measures…. Improve your company’s profitability…. but if that does not clearly affect me in a positive manner, we find many of these efforts land flat. In fact in many cases it is threatening to the individual to speak of efficiency improvements.
