How to Submit Number Transfer Request for Local Number

[ADMIN] Transferring local phone
numbers to your Office@Hand
account
Details This article will guide you on how to submit a Number Transfer Request in your online account. If you want to
transfer an existing non-Office@Hand phone number to your RingCentral Office@Hand from AT&T, do the
following steps:
NOTE: You need to be an account administrator to perform the following procedure.
Step 1:
Log in to your Office@Hand online account. Make sure to enter the correct extension number.
Step 2:
Go to Settings and select Phone System.
Step 3:
Select Company Number.
Step 4:
Click Use your existing number.
Step 5:
Select Local US Number to transfer your number to RingCentral Office@Hand from AT&T.

NOTE: Confirm your decision to transfer your existing phone number.
Step 6:
Answer the Pre-Check questions before proceeding.
Question Description
# 1
• Only ACTIVE and SUBSCRIBED numbers are allowed to be transferred.
• In the event that “NO” has been chosen, the online request will not push
through.

• TNs with associated DSL on it will either be rejected for having the DSL on
the line OR will push through but they will lose their INTERNET SERVICE.
• Resolution for DSL on the line issue is to have the DSL number changed to a
different number or have it dry-looped if the feature is available with the losing
service provider.

• Transferring multiple numbers coming from one account and one provider
only might require to have the other numbers addressed with their current
service provider which will involve the following possible issues:
• Partial Porting - If other numbers are not stated to be transferred but need to
be addressed on what to do to the remaining phone numbers.
• New BTN Needed – If the current BTN is to be transferred, a new BTN should
be indicated to the request.
• All Numbers Should Be Ported – The provider will not let the numbers be
ported out unless all the numbers are requested.

• If another number from the same account is being requested to be
transferred. It will be rejected for pending order.
• If a change in the billing or account information or service plan was done in
the past 3 business days, the request will be subjected for Pending Order.
# 5 • An option to transfer all numbers to RingCentral.

• If the phones ordered from RingCentral haven’t been received by the
customer, then we cannot initiate the number transfer process.
• Select yes if they are using their existing phones.
Step 7:
Enter the Billing Telephone Number (Main Number in the Account) then click Next.

NOTE: If the number you entered is also the Billing Telephone Number, tick the check box on the I want
to transfer my Billing Telephone Number option. You can also click on Add Another Number to
transfer multiple numbers.
STEP 8:
Choose the date when the number will be transferred.
NOTE: Grayed out dates cannot be chosen as these dates are not applicable for the service delivery of
our providers. The date you choose will be the exact date of transfer bearing no rejection from losing
carrier. In the event that the request gets rejected, the Transfer date will then be moved to a later date.
IMPORTANT: Do not choose a public holiday as a date of transfer.
Step 9:
Once you have selected a transfer date, select a temporary number.

NOTE: The temporary number will be replaced after the number has been completely ported to your
Office@Hand account.
IMPORTANT: If there are more transfer numbers than purchased temporary numbers, a fee will be
added to the monthly bill after the request for transfer has been completed.
Step 10:
Click Next.
Step 11:
Enter the telephone number’s Account Information based on your customer service records.

NOTE: Ensure that all information is accurate to avoid rejections due to information mismatches.
Step 12:
Go over the terms and conditions right below the Letter of Authorization (LOA) then tick on the I Agree
box. Click Next to proceed.
NOTE: You can check the status of your number transfer in the Company Numbers and Info section of
your online account.
