The JWT AnxietyIndex was launched in February 2003 during the run-up to the war in Iraq. It tracks the level and intensity of consumer anxiety and the drivers of that anxiety. It examines safety and security concerns—the threat of terrorism, potential and current military hostilities, crime—as well as economic worries, such as the cost of health care, the cost of living and job security. This quantitative survey was conducted using JWT's SONAR, our proprietary online research tool. We surveyed 508 adults aged 18-59, living in the United Arab Emirates in November 2010. The data was weighted by age and gender.
