This tutorial teaches how to use Windows Movie Maker to edit video clips. It explains how to open Movie Maker, import media from a webcam or camera, drag the media clip to the timeline at the bottom of the screen, trim the beginning and end of the clip using the start and end markers, and save the project frequently. Visual examples are provided to demonstrate dragging media and finding Movie Maker on Windows Vista. The goal is to provide a step-by-step guide to help users learn Movie Maker.

2. Click on Start menu

3. Steps to go on Movie Maker
• After you click on
“Start” menu
• Go to “All Programs”
• Look for “Windows
Movie Maker”
• Click on Windows
Movie Maker to
open your program.

4. Importing your media
• Import your
Media by your
preferred web
camera or DVD
camera.
Your media file comes from your hard drive which is saved by your
web camera software or digital camera software. It should
automatically ask you where you want the media to be imported
From your web camera or DVD camera.

5. Dragging your media
• Click your media
clip
• Follow the arrow
and drag it to the
bottom.
• Go to the next
slide to see the
short video.

6. Click on the screen, watch the video showing you how to drag your
media.

7. Placing your media
• Place your media
clip in the area
where you see
“Drag media here”

8. Editing your media clip
• You will see two
circles. The first left
is the beginning,
Start End
The second left is
the ending.
• You can click on
that to edit your
video, clipping
what you want to
edit.

9. Remember !
• Always save your
work even you are
still working every
time.
• Save your Project
as.. By labeling to
your knowledge
so you can find
your work later
on.

10. The next slide show
• When you are going to the next slide,
use your mouse pointer and then click
on picture and it will change to full
screen showing you the visual tool how
to find your Windows Movie Maker on
Windows Vista.
