On Author

Banks (2008) said that there were two kinds of multicultural education paradigms.

In the field of multicultural discourse, two multicultural education paradigms were often

discussed (Banks, 2008).

Regarding the two multicultural education paradigms, Banks and Banks (2008)

concluded that “these two paradigms have very different assumptions, research findings, and

implications for teaching in multicultural classrooms” (p. 53).

There are various ways of multicultural education implementation. Among them “cultural

deprivation paradigm” and “cultural difference paradigm” are the two popular ones (Banks,

2008, p. 53).

I was impressed by the two multicultural paradigms in that “these two paradigms have

very different assumptions, research findings, and implications for teaching in multicultural

classrooms” (Banks & Banks, 2008, p. 53).

Mathematics can be taught in an interesting and fun way to help students learn abstract

concepts and ideas in the classroom (Learning Math Could Be Fun, n.d.).

Mathematics can be taught in an interesting and fun way to help students learn abstract

concepts and ideas in the classroom (Robert, 2008, January 19).

In his book, An Introduction to Multicultural Education, Banks (2008) emphasized the
