History
Asthma had existed in Egyptian times, or maybe before.
Old ancient asthma cure was to heat a mixture of herbs on bricks
and to breath in the fumes.
It also became common in China, a few hundred years ago.
To cure Asthma in China they would a have a herb containing
ephedrine which they would inhale.
Ephedrine
Ephedrine is used for temporary
relief of shortness of breath,
chest tightness, and wheezing
due to bronchial asthma.
Ephedrine may also be used for
other conditions as determined
by your doctor.

What is Asthma?
Asthma is when you find it hard to breath and it can also
increase mucus and swelling.
A asthma attack is caused when when your airway becomes
narrow and mucus is released by the mucus glands.

An asthma attack is caused if there is to much mucus in our
airways and blocking you from breathing properly.
The signs of having asthma attack soon is:
Severe wheezing when breathing both in and out
Coughing that won't stop
Very rapid breathing
Chest pain or pressure
Tightened neck and chest muscles, called retractions
Difficulty talking
Feelings of anxiety or panic

How asthma can effect your
exercise
People with asthma can get overly sensitive which is called
Hyperactive.
Which can effect exercise, inhaling dust and smoke.

Asthma Foundation
The Asthma Foundation is a charity that has helped people with
asthma breath easier for over 40 years.
They are based in Wellington.
They teach the importance of asthma around community's.
Recently they had a fundraising called Balloon Day which had
fundraised a lot of money so they can continue educating and
research the importance of asthma.

Treatment
Asthma can be treated by:
Anti-Inflammatory drugs such as Steroids.
Bronchodilators relieve the symptoms of asthma, by relaxing
the muscles.
Asthma Inhalers are most common and very effective to relieve
asthma.
Asthma Nebulizer are used if you are finding it difficult with
small inhalers.
