Socializing online is just an extension of socializing offline for
many young Hispanics. They are twice as likely as non-Hispanics
to prefer “a large group of friends” versus a “few close friends,” the
Intelligence Group reported in its survey of 14-to-34-year-olds.
Unsurprisingly, 88% of this group said they had a profile on an
online networking site.
Hispanic Internet users are more active than whites on social
network sites. A study from the American Marketing Association
shows that Hispanics used more online activities within social
networks, such as downloading coupons, posting videos and
buying products.
