Today we do not have time to give you a very detailed account of meta-analyses using individual patient data. Rather we would like to illustrate some of the practical aspects of running these type of meta-analyses based on our experience. Hopefully, it give a general overview for those who are simply interested and there some tips for those of you who are planning to carry out this type of analyses. You will find a more detailed account in the Stats in Med paper by Mike and Lesley Stewart and we have some copies.
