  1. We will be meeting as a class every week for the duration of this school year. Because we are meeting so often, it is important to set up some ground rules for our group.
  2. Lets begin by discussing by rules are important?Focus the discussion on CLASSROOM Rules
  3. FOCUS DISCUSSION ON CLASSROOM RULES
  4. Work with students to come up with ground rules for your homeroom sessionIf time allows, using the polling options to get a consensus that all of the students agree to follow the established rules. If students do not agree with a particular rule, guide the discussion towards the reasoning behind their choice.
  5. Rules are created to keep safety and order and to see that everyone’s rights are respected and have equal voice in future meetings. By having rules for our group, we, too, will have safety and order in our meetings. And, since you have personal ownership in these rules, you will likely be more able to see the value of the rules and be more willing to abide by them than if they were simply pre-written and handed out. By following these rules, our group can be a fun, safe place to learn and grow. Let’s be the BEST Homeroom in AGORA!
