10. FAMILY
Quechuas form a huge family called Ayllu. The residential unit is
called Llacta.
Parents arrange their children’s marriage. The groom (boy) must
provide a service to his fiance’s (girl) parents. They have a close
friendship, extending the Ayllu, and they keep it giving goods and
services. This friendship is so important that it is considered as
blood ties.

They are farmers (agriculture and
stockbreeding). They also work on crafts
and trade.
12. RELIGION CATHOLIC
The majority of Peruvians are catholic.
Quechuas are polytheistic, that is, they believe in a last
God, Viracocha, and deify Nature as a being: Inti (Sun),
Quilla (Moon), Chucuilla or Illapa (Ray) and Chasca (star).
Pachamama (abundance) is the God of Mother Earth.
They used to sacrifice animals (Llamas) and even little
children.
