What I learnt since my preliminary task

1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt
in the progression from it to the full product?
When I was doing my preliminary task I was less confident in using Adobe
Photoshop when creating the front cover, when it came to the full final product I
found myself more confident when I was creating my front cover with Adobe
Photoshop. I also understood the conventions of a front cover better when I was
creating my final product.
I also learnt the conventions of music magazines and how to use them for my product
such as where the sell-lines are positioned. This helped me progress my learning into
the conventions of magazines and when it came to using them in my product I was
confident and successful.
In my preliminary task I found that the image did not fully follow the idea that I
wanted whereas in my product the main image follows the idea as well as the
conventions. It also fills the page and the background follows the conventions of
country music magazines. I found that in my preliminary task the background of a
brick wall did not go with the focus on a 6th form magazine.
I have learnt how to create a music magazine as well as understand and follow the
conventions. Also since my preliminary task I have learnt how to use blogger to
upload and share my project.
