Durability
Select these top quality products when a long-lasting,
highly durable coating is required. They are made with
quality acrylics to provide superior abrasion resistance
and toughness, extending the lifecycle of paint. They are
ideal for use in commercial and residential applications.
These products meet rigid MPI standards and are low VOC.
This is an ASTM test method measuring the adhesion ability of paint films.
The surface is cross-hatched with a knife and a special tape is applied to
the area. The tape is then peeled from the surface and any paint removal
is noted. The Glidden Professional Diamond 450 eggshell paint (on left)
adheres well while a more expensive competitive product fails due to poor
bonding of the paint to the surface.
This test measures the blocking of four paints. Blocking is when two painted sur-
faces, (e.g. a door and a door jam) stick together. In this picture the top panels were
placed against the lower panels for several hours and then were peeled apart. Note
