3. A New York City tradition, Macy’s annually launches
over 40,000 fireworks for a 25-minute show for New
Yorkers and the rest of the country to experience.
While it can be overwhelming to find the perfect
spot to see the radiant fireworks in real time. For the
best view of the fireworks over the Manhattan
skyline, some prime spots you can visit include the
Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights
Promenade, or the lesser known Frank Sinatra Park
in Hoboken, NJ.
4. Food for thought: To get a good spot with
friends or family, be sure to pack a picnic, a
frisbee, and head to any one of the above
places to enjoy the lights over New York City’s
skyline. The Macy’s fireworks will occur on
Monday, July 4th, 2016 at 8:00 pm.

culture in the 50’s, Coney Island continues to be
a main hub for everything related to summer
fun. On Coney Island visitors can relax on the
beach, ride the roller coaster, play some
carnival games, and enjoy some classic summer
foods, and head to Nathan’s to check out this

7. Food for thought: After the day at the boardwalk,
take your lawn chairs and belongings anywhere
between West 10th and West 12th streets to see the
fireworks in the evening (which will take place
Friday at 9:30 pm). If you are feeling adventurous,
you can even take a spin on the Wonder Wheel to
get a closer glimpse of the lights in action. The
beaches across Coney Island will open at 10am
during the July 4th holiday weekend.
9. During the holiday weekend, one great way to
explore the city’s pivotal mark in American history
during the american revolution is to appreciate
manhattan as a cultural center. Taking the water
taxi is the most ideal way to see all the stunning
skyscrapers in NYC without being subjected to the
crowds, long lines or overly populated
neighborhoods.
10. Many New York attractions are bike accessible so
as long as you keep the lock in a safe spot. Visiting
museums and restaurants is not a problem when
renting a bike for the day to enjoy the holiday
weekend during the 4th of July.
