Design Approach Above: Adjustability of Product Above: Control for engaging/disengaging brushes Above & below: Spring loaded telescopic mechanism to allow engaging of brushes
Manufacturing viability Manufacturing of product is to be done with common manufacturing methods of: Extrusion, CNC machining and Injection Moulding. The product is designed to utilise standard bearings, springs, nuts and bolts  Main structure comprises of bought-in extruded aluminium lengths that require cutting and drilling only Joints are drilled and loosely tightened bolts allows rotation of connected bars. They are then tightened to fix the structure in position. Aluminium (Extruded) Polypropylene (Injection Moulded)
Manufacturing Viability cont’d… Bought-in bristle material Turned Stainless Steel Cut standard sheet metal Standard Extruded Aluminium Cut standard sheet metal Injected Moulded Polypropylene Rubber coated Welded Joint Parts are friction fitted except for shown welded joints Std 9mm Sealed bearing
