Put your link in the middle of a tweet. That
way, if someone retweets it, they can cut
hashtags or other content from the end
instead of your link.

• Use “via” if you’re including info that you found by
reading another’s tweet.
• If you need to, edit the tweet to list all the sources

• If someone RTs or mentions you, thank them publicly.
• If you get a lot of RTs in a short time for a tweet, perhaps group
people in one thank-you tweet.
• If someone thanks you, consider a “You’re Welcome” tweet (or just
“YW”)

Time it so you can cover as many time zones as possible with one tweet.

Don’t waste your tweets!

Tweets have a short life span. New ones are posted every minute.
•
Don’t continuously repeat them, as it can be considered spam.

33. Using Twitter
The volume of tweets can be difficult to manage. It’s helpful to use
one of the main apps for viewing and tweeting.
Those apps are HootSuite and TweetDeck.
