Rodney
  Mullen’s
  talk
  was
  not

  bad
  for
  someone
  who
  rarely,
  if
  ever,
  does
  this
  type
  of

Like
  Sir
  Ken
  Robinson,
  Rodney
  was
  funny
  and
  used
  stories
  of
  his
  own
  to

  his
  talk

  He

also
  showed
  a
  level
  of
  enthusiasm
  and
  passion
  I
  have
  not
  seen
  before.

  I
  found
  it
  to
  be
  infec?ous.

On
  the
  other
  hand,
  he
  veered

  easily,

  He
  also
  would
  start
  to

  excited
  he
  got.

  lot
  of
  the
  ?me
  he
  appeared
  to
  be
  looking
  at
  the
  floor.

  Lastly,
  his

appearance
  is
  a
  bit
  shabby,
  but,
  he
  is
  a
  professional
  skateboarder,
  so
  you
  probably
  shouldn’t

expect
  much
  more.

Things
  I
  Learned:

Stay
  focused-‐
  It
  is
  hard
  for
  the
  audience

        to
  follow
  when
  going
  off
  topic.

  Speak
  slowly-‐
  Again,
  it
  is
  easy
  for
  the

audience
  to
  become
  lost
  when
  speaking

                     too
  fast.

Things
  I
  Learned:

Be
  passionate-‐
  If
  you
  are
  excited
  about

your
  speech,
  chances
  are
  the
  audience

will
  be
  too.

Use
  humor
  and
  relatable
  stories-‐

People
  are
  more
  likely
  to
  pay
  aOen?on
  if

they
  like
  you/relate
  to
  you.

Things
  I
  Learned:

Have
  fun-‐
  Like
  the
  humor/stories,
  people

will
  have
  fun
  listening
  to
  you,
  if
  you
  have

fun
  talking
  to
  them.

Things
  You
  Should
  Know

                Stay
  on
  Topic

        Speak
  slowly
  and
  clearly

         Look
  at
  your
  audience

  Be
  passionate
  about
  the
  topic

Be
  knowledgeable
  about
  the
  topic

         Use
  humor
  and
  stories

        Maintain
  a
  certain
  pace
