The Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) funding opportunity will enable Newport-Mesa School District (NMUSD) in Orange County, California, to significantly increase the technology resources for at least 300 7th graders attending one of the district’s high schools and at least 450 5th and 6th grade students at four of its district elementary feeder schools through enhanced and expanded student use of Web 2.0 intra-district collaborative tools through the introduction of Discovery Science and MY Access!® on these campuses.
Students will be able to take these lightweight, sturdy devices around school as well as carry them home after signing a “responsibility” contract.
