- 17. REFLECTION While I use a variety of assistive technology devices as a special education teacher, I learned about new and useful tools that would be helpful to my students. If I did this assignment again, I might focus in on one software/device and go into greater detail rather than covering a broad spectrum of tools. This information would be useful in a classroom curriculum by making the content accessible to students with a variety of learning needs. Students with disabilities, ELL and struggling learners can all benefit from assistive technology.
