4. Editing Objects
The drop-down box at
the bottom of the 3D
view window or <TAB>
NOTE!
Edit model allows the
modification of an
individual object.And
not switching between
objects. So check modes
if you are having
problems.
5. Editing a Text Object
Once in Edit mode, you can
edit text similar to any
word processor
<home> & <end> to jump
to the start or end of a line
<enter> to start a new line
Use the arrow keys to
move the cursor around
<crtl> + <X> = Cut
<crtl> + <C> = Copy
<crtl> + <V> = Paste
6. Adding lots of text
Under theText Menu,
there is the Paste File
option, which allows
you to paste in a text
file.
The file type must be
*.TXT
If it is a large file, it will
slow Blender down
7. Font Properties
If you have aText
object select, then in
the PropertiesWindow
Panel, there will be a F.
This allows access to
theText Properties
including;
Shape
Geometry
Font
Paragraph
8. Text: Shape & Geometry
Shape
Resolution controls how
smooth theText appears
Low numbers make it look
jaggard
The default of 12 should be
fine for most things.
Geometry
Extrude makes the text
look 3D.The higher
number the longer it is
The Bevel Depth gives you
how big the bevelled edge
will be
The Bevel Resolution gives
you how smooth it will be.
9. Text: Font
By default Blender has one
font, but selecting the folder
you can use other fonts
This will open another
window, where you can select
a font.
Computer ->
C:WindowsFonts allows you
to access all the fonts in
Windows
Size changes the size of the
font
Shear changes the slope of
the font
10. Text: Paragraph
This allows you to
change the alignment
and spacing of the text
All the align option work
the same as a word
processor.
Letter Spacing is the space
between letters
Word Spacing is the
spacing between words
Line Spacing is the spacing
between each line of text
11. World Properties
This is where you can
modify many of the
global properties of the
3D World including;
World (The Sky)
Mist
Stars
12. World: World
World (The Sky) gives you
the colour of the
background, or sky.
Selecting one of the boxes
will bring up a colour picker
Slide the side bar down to
black
13. World: Mist & Stars
Mist makes objects
disappear into the
background mist
Start = How far from the
camera the mist starts
Depth = Distance of
which the mist effect
fades in
Stars add simple stars to
the background
Size = How big
Colors =
0 = white stars
1 = colourful stars
Separation = how far
apart
14. Camera setup
Use <G>, <S>, & <R> to
move the camera and
place it in the scene.
