 Educate them on the mission. Make sure that advocates know
the why and how.
 Provide them early access. It is essential that we provide our advocates
early access (or at a minimum, advance notice) to community changes.
 Make specific asks. Create a plan and incentives.
 Prepare answers to the tough questions. Advocates are the first line of
defense.
 Connect them. Create a private space just for advocates to talk to each
other.
 Brainstorm together. Work with advocates to determine new ways to grow
and sustain the community.
 Communicate early and often. Advocates only stay advocates if they are
effective.
 Recognize their effort. Be quick to share credit for community
achievements.
