I didn’t always want to be a communication major. I first started at Full Sail University studying Music
until I discovered a passion for writing.
I began singing in middle school as a way to be popular among the other students.
I was a white girl in a mostly black school. We communicated with each other through hip-hop and R&B. This connected me to my gift.

Who I Am:
My name is Jennifer Whidden. I am a Media Communications Professional at Full sail University
My story started more than 20 years ago as a blue-eyed soul singer in the 90’s. I wrote and recorded R&B songs.
I chose to acquire the skills I needed to move forward as a professional in the Music Industry and study Music Production
A few months into the program, I realized I was studying the wrong thing. I decided to change programs and began studying Media Communications.
I always thought that my ticket to a successful life would be through music.
I discovered that my gift of communication was more than writing lyrics to a song. I had a gift to connect through many types of communication to many types of people.
I had a gift to connect through many types of communication to many types of people.
I have a dream to be able to take my words and ability to communicate across the world.
My mother is Middle Eastern, my Godson if African, My daughter is Caribbean, and my father European.
I hope that I can impact the world with my diverse ethnic background and unite us all through communications that can show we are more alike than different.
I want my daughter to be proud of the fact that she is an African, Lebanese, European, and Indian American.
I want my portfolio to speak to anyone in the Media world to emphasize that we all have something in common regardless of race or nationality.
Many of those in the Media field are from different parts of the world. We all are having the same human experience and a need to connect with one another
I want to help discover ways to communicate on a global level.
I want to see a single mother who is struggling to make sense of her life read the story of another woman in another part of the world with the same story that made it through.
I have 36 years of life experience I want to share and use to create universal tools of communication.
I have years of education at one of the worlds top media schools.
I speak several languages and have been exposed to and understand many different cultures.
I have been able to visit London, Italy, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Berlin, France, and the Caribbean. There is a special story that can be told by people from these countries that may help someone in a different place who speaks a different language.
There needs to be a place that people can go to connect with like people in other countries, going through like struggles, without a language or cultural barrier.
To write something that appeals to people in different parts of the world.
I did not have a privilege life. I had to learn a lot of my life lessons the hard way. There has to be a way to use these experiences to help man and womankind across the globe.
My brand mantra is powerful enough to validate who I am and what I plan to be
Indispensable Media Ally — helping brands, businesses, and people reach a global market by telling the stories of their best asset- people.
