The trailer will take place primarily in a modern house and feature three characters - two male protagonists, one antagonist who will wear black and a mask. The lighting will start natural and get darker as the mood intensifies, using side and back lighting to build mystery and suspense. Makeup will be used to create realistic fake cuts and bruises for special effects.
2. The Setting
• A house is going to be the main setting for my trailer. Old/worn down
houses are usually used but I have decided a more modern house
would work best for my plot. Most of the trailer will be filmed indoor
but some will be outside in the garden or front porch area.
3. Characters/Costumes
• There will be 3 characters. Two of these will be male, one a
protagonist and one an antagonist. The other character will be a
female protagonist.
• The costumes for the protagonists will be in regular clothing, since
the idea is they believe they’re having a regular day. The antagonist
will wear black with a mask to cover their face.
4. Lighting
• The lighting is going to be a mix of natural and unnatural. To start
with, the lighting will be natural but as the mood intensifies it will
darken. Side and back lighting will be used to create mystery and
suspense.
5. Makeup
• Makeup can be used for special effects to make things like fake cuts
and bruises. These can be very simple or complex. For my trailer I will
use makeup techniques to make the trailer look realistic.
