4. MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission statement was written for our company by
it's founders Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard back in
1957, and we like it that way.
At Hewlett pack we are, first and foremost, about
customers care.
"We are the technology company that invents the
useful and the significant"
At HP we have a great leadership team filled with a lot of experience behind them. I would like to focus on out CEO Ms. Meg Whitman. Ms. Whitman Has been on the Board of Directors of HP since 2011 and is currently serving as both the President and CEO of HP. Prior to joining HP Ms. Whitman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of eBay Inc., from 1998 to March 2008. Ms. Whitman also held executive-level positions at Hasbro Inc, FTD Inc, The Stride Rite Corporation, The Walt Disney Company, and Bain & Company. With all of this prior business insight we have one of the best CEO’s in the business.
At HP we carry a wide range of technology for use in the home and business. From laptops, to printers, to software. We at HP pride ourselves in quality products for your home and office needs.
When looking to join a company you want to look at alto of different things. One of these things should be that companies mission statement. Do they have one? When was it established? What does it say about the company? At HP we live by the original mission statement written for our company by its founders back in 1957. This is a time honored mission statement and we feel it works. Our main focus in our mission statement is customer first. We are dedicated to taking care of our customers at HP. Secondly we are focused on creating new and innovative technologies to grow and expand out current product line. We are of course he worlds largest technology company.
At HP we strive to be the best, we also strive to make the sales we need to continue increasing our companies profits. Last year our total overall revenue was approximately 128billion dollars, up from 124billion dollars the prior year (fiscal year 2010). As a company we are always looking for ways to increase our revenue and have done a good job of that year after year.
At HP one of our biggest concerns is “What do our products do to the environment?” As a leading technology company it is our job to set the standard of how a company should operate when it comes to manufacturing their products. Not only are we concerned with the quality of our product but also how green that product is. We are doing what we can to encourage recycling programs at HP, allowing for old computer components to be scraped and reused. By doing this we are decreasing waste, and shrinking our companies carbon foot print. We are also striving to find new ways to reach third world countries with new technologies to help them better their lifestyles, and increase their worldly knowledge. We at HP have virtually set the standard for how electronics are to be manufactured. Mainly as environmentally friendly as possible.
As a VSB Technical support rep you will be responsible for visiting multiple customer sites per day installing/replacing equipment in a predefined route, potentially spanning multiple cities and/or states. We are looking for someone with experience in this field, and a good knowledge of current HP products and services. The job is currently set as an initial employment term expected to be 60 days, with potential for longer term employment. Overall we are looking for someone with great people skills, willing to work a flexible schedule, and have a love for the technology we sell.
Currently HP consists of approximately 349,600 employees worldwide. We have locations based all over the United States, as well as Africa, Asia-pacific, Europe, and even the Middle East. We are the largest technology company and growing. Our national head quarters is based out of Palo Alto, CA. As you can see HP is not only a large company in the United States, but really the world. With a company this size, reaching this many places, we are hands down the best technology company to work for and can offer the most room for branching out and seeing the world.
At HP we pride ourselves in taking care of our customers, but we cannot do that if we do not first take care of our employees. The benefits you will receive as an employee of HP include company-provided dollars you can use toward the cost of the medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits that work best for you. Also employees qualify for a valuable 401(k) savings program, with HP providing a match of 100% of your contributions, up to the first 4% of pay you contribute. These are just a few of the many benefits of working for HP, not to mention the great atmosphere and ability to learn and grow as the world of technology learns and grows.
