3. Anticipatory Set Hydrogen is a very reactive element. It has a mission to bond with another elements in order to have an electron arrangement like Helium. When hydrogen combusts it reacts with oxygen in a highly exothermic reaction. The reaction releases heat, light and sound. Since hydrogen gas is hard to come by I will demonstrate a similar reaction using another chemical similar to methane. Note: I will show the video as well as perform the demonstration
4. Project Description After completing the WISE 4.0 Hydrogen Fuel Cell project students will create a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the hydrogen/oxygen reaction and hydrogen fuel cell. They must include several components: 1. Explain the reactants and products of the hydrogen/ oxygen reaction with both picture and words. 2. Provide an animation or picture of a Hydrogen Fuel with important parts labeled. 3.Explain the chemistry behind the hydrogen fuel cell. This must include the reactants and the products. 4.Compare and contrast the hydrogen/oxygen combustion and the hydrogen/oxygen reaction in a hydrogen fuel cell. Use at least one graphic organizer. 5.Compare and contrast hydrogen fuel cell chemistry to gasoline combustion. 6.Express your opinion on hydrogen fuel cell technology as it compares to gasoline combustion. Give advantages and disadvantages of each. Include at least one graphic organizer. 7.Bibliography

Grading – Rubric-Technology score description of work done 1 Poor effort with little attempt to add technology to slide show. 2 Included several pictures and words to the slide show. 3 Included a picture of a hydrogen fuel cell. Provided pictures and words on most pages. 4 Included an animated hydrogen fuel cell. Provided pictures and words on every page.
12. Grading – Rubric-Sharing score description of work done 1 Poor effort with little attempt to explain each page 2 Attempted to explain each page but did not necessarily understand the content. 3 Explained each page of the slide show. Explained each page of the slide show with a full understanding. 4 Showed enthusiasm for the subject. Explained each page of the slide show with a full understanding. Explained the hydrogen fuel cell thoroughly.
