(Co-Owner) Born and raised in Bellingham and loves the outdoors and creating homes that make the most of the beautiful Pacific Northwest while preserving our environment. Jim is a Professional Building Designer member of the AIBD and has achieved national certification from the NCBDC John Anderson, C.P.B.D. (Co-Owner) Has been a General Contractor and Design Build Professional for over 30 yrs in Whatcom County and has extensive knowledge of the construction trade. Regardless of the size of Residential Construction, Whether it be 1500 or 15,000 sq. ft. , Single Family or Multi-Family (up to 4 units), AIBD professional building designers are qualified to design a Home for you. In Fact 85% of all residential construction in the USA are designed by building designers . There is no size limit when it comes to residential construction.

30. Blueprint Design Consultants has an extensive selection of “ Stock Plans” (Pre-Designed House Plans) available for the builder that wants a nice plan that works well for this area. Most of these plans are previously engineered or prescriptive plans. For the builder on a budget.

31. Oftentimes before a remodel or addition design can start an “As Built” drawing needs to be done. This is almost always the case in commercial tenant improvements. Also, When one does a remodel or addition without a permit and gets caught by the building officials, they will require that an “As Built” drawing be submitted and approved before construction can continue .

32. Commercial Space Renovations & Remodels Commercial spaces less than 4,000 square feet we are able to do without restrictions. Almost all tenant improvements over 4,000 square feet we do for Architects and require an Architect and/or Engineer stamp.

Managing construction projects for our clients can involve double checking measurements and details of construction with the general contractor and ensuring quality of construction all the way up to managing the entire project, managing subcontractors and construction schedules and all of the day to day details. We can basically help the Home Owner/Builder complete the project in a timely manner and obtain subcontractors that they would otherwise find hard to acquire. It takes a lot of time to gather all the required items to submit variances and attend the meetings and post the signs required for the process. We can gather the information and submit the variance request and attend the meetings and post the signs. Snook, WCN, MLA Dick's thirty-five years of experience include WCN (Washington Certified Nursery Professional) accreditation, a Masters of Landscape Architecture from The University of Massachusetts and an AB in Botany from the University of Miami. He has previously been an Instructor of Landscape Design at Virginia Tech University. His extensive knowledge of Whatcom County enables him to create custom landscapes for every part of this area.
