Through the application of geo mapping tools and web applications, digital maps can be used as a (portal) platform for multimedia data such as images, videos, audio recordings, slideshows and more. This lecture / workshop explains the concept of geotagging as well as the workflow for combining gps data with multimedia and presenting them on a map by using gps trackers, multimedia recording devices, Google Maps, Locr, Picasa and YouTube.
