Creating Links with Dreamweaver
There are various methods for creating links inside Dreamweaver. Below you
will find the most common way of doing so:
1. Highlight the text you wish to make a link. It is important you select
only what you wish to become a URL; any additional spaces or
grammatical characters will be included so take care when selecting.
2. Visit the website you wish to link to. Cut the URL from the address bar
(CTRL+X); resist the temptation to simply remember the address, as
this can lead to issues of misspelling and misremembered addresses.
3. Return to Dreamweaver; paste the link (CTRL+V) into the Link box on
the Properties tab at the bottom of the screen.
4. Clicking back into your design view mode will automatically update the
link.

5. If you wish to open the page in a new web browser, you must change
the Target value to _blank
