Anna University, Chennai is organizing “Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Programme”
(TNSLPP) 2013-14, for the Present Final Year (2014 Passing Out Students) studying in Self Financing
Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu, under Madurai Zone.
M/s Cognizant Technology Solutions, has kindly agreed to participate in this Placement

programme during 20 , 21 & 22 December 2013 for Madurai Zone (20.12.2013 & 21.12.2013 for
the Colleges under SI. No. 1 to 68 and 21.12.2013 & 22.12.2013 for the Colleges under SI. No. 69 to
134 – Please see Annexure-IV). Centre for University Industry Collaboration (CUIC), Anna University,
Chennai is conducting this programme at Kongunadu College of Engineering & Technology,
Namakkal – Trichy Main Road, Tholurpatti, Thottiam, Trichy District – 621 215.
Final year students of B.E. / B.Tech. (CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, ICE & IT) and PG (MCA) with CGPA
7.0 (no rounding off) and above (No Standing Arrears) from I Semester to last Semester are
eligible to participate in this programme. It is mandatory that all the students should have secured an

average of 70.00% (no rounding off) and above marks consistently from 10 onwards. It is
requested that the Principal / Placement Officer of the College should verify the marks of the students and
certify their eligibility to attend the TNSLPP.
All the eligible candidates have to pay a one time Registration fee of Rs. 750/- (Rupees
Seven hundred and fifty only) in the form of Demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director, CUIC, Anna
University” payable at Chennai. The Principal / Placement Officers may collect the Registration Fee
from the students and make One Consolidated Demand Draft and submit the hard copy of the
registration form (Annexure-I) along with the Consolidated Demand Draft to the CUIC Staff
Members camped at Kongunadu College of Engineering & Technology, Thottiam on the first day
at 7.30 a.m. (20.12.2013 for the Colleges under SI. No. 1 to 68 and 21.12.2013 for the Colleges
under SI. No. 69 to 134 – Please see Annexure-IV) at the time of Registration.

2. Job Role & Description:
The students who get shortlisted will be offered the role of Programmer Analyst Trainee
with a salary of 3 lakh / annum. They will be trained at Cognizant Academy for a period
of 4 months post which they will join the project teams.
Eligibility Criteria:
2014 passing out candidates only
B.E/B. Tech (CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, ICE & IT) & PG (MCA)
Minimum 70.00% from 10th onwards
CGPA of 7.0 and above
No standing arrears allowed at the time of recruitment process

Flexibility to work in Shifts and in any Cognizant Location

Terms and Conditions
1.
As per the mandate of the Anna University, Chennai, students who are already placed in any
organisation through Campus Recruitment are not eligible to attend the TNSLPP.
2.
As per the notification of visiting Organisations, the candidates who have already appeared for
On-Campus Recruitment of that particular Organisation are not eligible to re-appear again in the
TNSLPP.
3.
All the eligible students taking part in the TNSLPP process for the first time have to register by
paying a one time Registration Fee of Rs.750/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of
“The Director, CUIC, Anna University” payable at Chennai.
4.
Candidates should furnish the photograph duly attested by the Principal of their college.

5.
Candidates should bring the attested Photo Copies of SSLC, HSLC, Diploma and Degree
semester mark sheets for verification along with 4 passport size photographs.
6.
For attending the TNSLPP, the candidates should make their own arrangements, for all the days.
7.
Registration, Validation and Test will be conducted on Day one. The shortlisted candidates will
have the interview on Day one / two.
8.
Those candidates selected through TNSLPP by the company should not attend the subsequent
Test / Interviews to be conducted by other companies, through TNSLPP.
9.
Any irregularity / Mal practices / any form of recommendation will be treated, as disqualification
and Anna University, Chennai will take serious action against those candidates.
10.
The decision of the Director, CUIC, Anna University will be final in all matters.
