2. Age.
Age is represented throughout our thriller
production as the Villain is dressed in ‘smart’
dress wear, this being a suit. This shows that he
is middle-ages and if he is in smart clothes then
he must have a bit of money.
This is a stereotype as in most
Thriller genres if the killer is a
male he is usually middle-aged.
3. Lighting.
The lighting we used was dark dim lighting, this
was to represent the idea of the villain being
‘evil’ in a sense. The low key lighting also
conforms to a stereotypical thriller film which
then makes the character come across as dark
and mysterious.
4. Camera angle.
We used the different camera angles throughout
our production to get across the ‘villains’ character
type and to show the audience that he is
dangerous. We used low angles and high angle
shots, so that we are rarely at eye level with the
villain. We also cut off his face by using mid-shots,
or left his face in shadow so it is hard to see leaving
the audience in suspense to see who this person is.
