DINOSAURS UNCOVERED
21 July – 6 January 2013
Travel through 250 million years, and discover some of the
most iconic and awe inspiring creatures to walk the Earth.
Come face to face with the skull of the ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex, marvel at the
length of the Diplodocus' thigh bone, consider the strength of the Stegosaurus'
armour plating and be astonished by the Triceratops' three horned might.
Featuring amazing life-size
dinosaurs, real and replica
fossils and holographic video
presentations by wildlife
expert Chris Packham, this
thrilling exhibition will help
you uncover the truths about
dinosaurs and the world they
dominated.
Packed with exciting
interactives and touch
screen technology, visitors
can design their very own
dinosaur skin, piece together
dinosaur skeletons and test
their knowledge of these
astonishing creatures.

From talks to trails, digs, art
workshops and film screenings
there will be plenty of creative
things to do to keep you busy.

special tools, identify your discoveries and then place in the permanent galleries, each talk will

Eating with Dinosaurs FREE
Wednesday 29 August
12.00pm – 2.00pm
A chance to have a picnic in the shadow of a
dinosaur! Aimed at children aged 2-6, bring
along a packed lunch and blanket and eat
your picnic in our Covered Court area, face to
face with dinosaurs. There will be an arty
activity to do while you eat your picnic.

Sessions start at 10.30am, 1.00pm
and 2.30pm
Be educated and revolted in this interactive
talk led by the lively palaeontologists of
Everything Dinosaur. Find out how we know
what prehistoric animals ate, handle fossils and
learn everything you could ever want to know
