 Today there is a hole in the
Ozone that is growing.
 This could lead to more
skin cancer.

 In the 1990s, industrial
countries met in Kyoto,
Japan to discuss how to
deal with this problem and
cut down on green house
gas emissions.
 Also, many people are
concerned with global
warming and thus
working to prevent this
problem.

Save the whales, trees, etc…
 Around the world, people have become concerned
with saving the environment.

But What Can You Do?
 People use reusable
shopping bags, energy
efficient light bulbs and
appliances, etc.

Hybrid Cars
 Hybrid and electric cars utilize much cleaner, safer
energy than typical cars.
 Unfortunately, they are not perfect and are
EXPENSIVE.

 Scientists are designing
technologies that work
using other safe fuel
sources such as:
 Water
 Nuclear energy
 Solar energy
 Wind energy
