HR STUDY REVEALS THAT GREAT HAIR
LEADS TO INVERVIEW SUCCESS
A recent Viviscal survey of 202 Human Resource Managers in
Portugal provided some very interesting insights about how hair
and image are perceived from an employment perspective.
Key findings were:
• 76% of respondents said that the most important elements of
an individual’s image in an interview are their clothes and hair
• 96% said that they always, or more often than not, notice an
individuals hair
• 86% said that hair is more important when it comes to female
candidates, with 14% saying it was more important for males
• 95% said that a person with good hair transmits more
confidence and has a better chance of success
• 85% said that there is prejudice about hair loss within the
professional industry (4% for men, 35% for women and 47% for
both genders)
With hair playing such a major role in interview success, it quite
literally pays to invest in your hair!
