The document discusses reducing solid waste through a sustainability plan. It notes that there is currently an extreme buildup of waste and inefficient recycling management. The plan proposes a one-year recycling revolution to raise community awareness and implement sustainability projects consistently. Successfully implementing the terrestrial sustainability plan will require enhanced recycling capabilities and management, as well as making people more aware of their role in protecting environmental and future community needs.
This will be the beginning of a journey for humanity, the environment, and it's resources. A raising in awareness, and intelligence of biodiversity, terrestrial resources, and it's problems will be conducted. The sustainability plan to reduce solid waste and create alternatives for recycling and managing waste is the ultimate goal for the community and myself.
Each year, the United States alone manifests up to 230 million tons of waste. This is approximately 4.6 pounds per person each day, each year(learner,2008). The real problem lies in the fact that less than half of this waste is recycled and broken down properly. With the need of some new waste management, we could have a future where more than half of the waste will be reduced.Businesses such as, gas stations, photo developers, and oil companies all send chemicals and harmful components into our environment; thus, severing our terrestrial resources further(learner,2008).
The essential part of this sustainability project is to create a timeline in which all of our goals can be accomplished. With the new recycling revolution, we can pursue alternative ways of managing waste; thus, functioning in a more efficient and effective manner(makeearthabetterplace,2006).Raising community awareness about our terrestrial and environmental resources will be greatly helpful in our pursuits. A collective intelligence and support system will assure things go smoothly and as planned. This plan will assure that the waste will be reduced and used for commercial and private purposes. Such as, building houses, and creating more efficient dispersing of energy as well.Businesses are playing a role in the damaging of our terrestrial resources as well. They have to accept a responsibility in carefully, and properly disposing the by-products they create as a result of their ventures.Lastly, we as a society must adjust how we treat the environment as well. Acknowledging the fact that biodiversity is vital for us as humans too. Recycling, and properly ridding of chemicals and waste will make this sustainability plan all it can be.
One of the biggest concerns of mine with trying to push this agenda is gaining the respect and awareness of the community. Many abuse the resources we have and take them for granted. Building a rapport and relationship with the public will be a challenge, but is very possible. With the time it may take to get everyone involved, the one year revolution may be exceeded. Although, as serious a problem that this is, the community shouldn't have a problem being active in this project.Funding will play a big role in managing the waste and pursuing alternatives for recycling and reusing the waste matter.Showing the positivity behind this project, and all the good that can come of it will ultimately spark some passion within the hearts of our community. Thus, getting the whole world involved collectively will prove just how much we can get accomplished as a unified, focused, and passionate team.
The gravity of the need for new resource and waste management is critical to our environment and humanity.Enhancing our recycling and management capabilities will ensure that our waste is broken down and recycled for more use. This recycling revolution will empower and create a better living environment for living organisms and microorganisms. People are the backbone of the environment, and the change in how we affect it is vital.Lastly, the environment and the community's needs will be met more efficiently with smoother and more effective terrestrial geographical locations.
