EDUCATION BACKGROUND
2011-2015 : Kenyatta University, Pursued Bachelor of Science (Population Health)
Graduated With Second Class Honour (Upper Division)
Training and Facilitation skills
 Able to train adult volunteers with lower literacy to correctly deliver health messages across
the basic and maternal new born curriculum content using multiple learning modalities
appropriate to adult learners. Utilize hands on practical methods where the CHVs, interact
with the material and moving away from a lecture format typical in the classroom setting.
 Able to train volunteers to get reliable CHIS data (MOH 513 and MOH 514), including
specifics of polite and ethical household entry. Able to demonstrate what to do through role
play and other dynamic interactive strategies as well as mentor volunteers in how to do on
household registration. Able to do positive retraining until competency in obtaining reliable
data is achieved.
 Understanding of a range of non monetary motivators for volunteers and how to use them
effectively.
 Able to encourage Income generating activities to build teamwork and group cohesion among
CHVs.
Data Management and organization
 Able to supervise volunteers collecting CHIS data, lead data cleaning process for CHIS data,
support collation of raw data for analysis.
 Able to present local MOH 513 data to Sub County Health Management Team and local
facility staff, CHEWs and CHVs.
 Identify areas for improvement in CHIS data collection and build a cycle for improvement
while in data collection phase.
 Set up formulas in EXCEL in order to perform accurate arithmetic functions
 Able to compare CHIS data against a defined results framework,
 Help identify key CHIS data points for further analyse and action
 Lead a community discussion on MOH 513 or 514 data to see how this is relevant to the local
context and how the data can be utilized to take local action to improve health and community
well being.
Financial reconciliation, accountability and compliance
 Able to follow budget for specific activities and track all expenses and receipts to be in
compliance with institutional procedures.
 Have the basics on financial reconciliation.
 Have learnt how make a financial budget for program’s daily activities.
Work with Community Health Volunteers
 Ability to lead and supervise the Community Health Volunteers in delegated activities.
 Able to relate well with the volunteers and support them where the need arise
 Ability to disseminate Behaviour Change Messages to Young population
Technical abilities
 Able capture shot videos as well as high resolution photo-taking that are properly labels for
different Donor use.
 Solving simple computer problems.
Documentation of program’s outcomes
 Able to write the reports of daily activities within the program’s activities.
 Able develop innovate tool for reporting e.g. SALT outcomes.
Problem solving and resolution
 Ability to be a mediator in conflicting parties within the Volunteers.
 Able to solve simple conflict amicably with win-win approach.
Organization and Logistics
 Able to procure office supply through AMS and transport requisition adoptable to the
community field activities
 Ability to coordinate team transportation to the field and meet their training demands.
 Able to develop weekly, monthly and quarterly work-plan
 Able to properly utilize the organisation property without damage and with proper handling
