Institutional Capacity Builder with speciality in Visual Impairment Instituto Boliviano de la Ceguera, Chuquisaca (IBC Ch), Sucre, Bolivia Instituto Boliviano de la Ceguera, Chuquisaca (IBC), is one of four organisations supported by Irish Aid through a project promoting the social inclusion of disabled people into local and national development processes in Bolivia. Your role at IBC will be to provide guidance in aspects of institutional strengthening, including developing more effective tools for planning, implementing and evaluating activities; awareness raising; training workshops on specific themes (eg Braille, computers, leadership, basic accounting); developing a virtual library; strengthening coordination and networking with other institutions; and liaising with the other three partners of the Irish Aid project. You should be educated to postgraduate level with qualifications related to disability and devleopment, with a minimum of three years' work experience incorporating work with blind/visually impaired individuals, project management (design, implementation, M & E), facilitation and training, and, ideally, conflict resolution. You should have solid spoken/written Spanish skills and a willingness to learn Quechua, together with proven adaptability/flexibility, and a demonstrable understanding of/commitment to the situation of disabled people in Bolivia.
