• Gijón is the largest city in Asturias, in the Asturian
language it’s called Xixón.
• It has got three beaches next to the Cantabrian
sea and they are called: San Lorenzo, Poniente
and Arbeyal.
• Gijón has got a great football team, its name is
Real Sporting de Gijón.
• It has got an aquarium. The aquarium has got two
sharks.
