Innovation in motion
The true source of innovation in Campus Party is in its participants.
Innovate is to share and to read the contributions & keys from others to
advance on their own projects. It is an attitude that seeks complete with
imagination that does not yet exist. Innovation is, in short, build the
future. And that is what they are getting.

For seven days, the participants at the event showed their passion and
generosity. Passion expressed in their way of enjoying the content, to
live each hour with their friends, and transforming technology in their
own lifestyle. Generosity because they are sharing, through their ideas
and projects, all their knowledge to write the new rules of digital culture.

Conferences, workshops, panel discussions, competitions ... More than
300 hours of training and a full week to experience the biggest event of
innovation, creativity, entertainment and digital culture connected in the
world.
The final frontier. On July 30, 2010 Campus Party handed over all borders. A balloon, built by
astronomers of the event, in collaboration with participants from CampusBot, reached out space
and sent, from 35 miles up, so spectacular images like this.
.
HTML5 Workshop. José Manuel Cantera, Telefónica R& D, showed the keys of a language that
will become one of the semantic web standards, the next evolutionary step in Internet
Music and social networking. One of the most expected moments of the event took place with the
visit of two talented musicians: Ivan Ferreiro and Carlos Jean. Along with journalists and
bloggers, both discussed how the Internet is changing the musical production and distribution.
The universe for everyone. The lecture "Introduction to Astronomy" got that many participants
would be interested in the possibility of taking the first steps in a discipline capable of explaining
a lot of our past and anticipate, at the same time, what lies ahead.
The magic of mathematics. Although it does not seem easy to find convergence between the magic
and computers, Fernando Blasco, a professor of Applied Mathematics at the Polytechnic University
of Madrid, showed through a fun talk the importance of mathematics in card games.
Face to face. Pau Garcia Milà, creator of EyeOS, and Eduardo Arcos, founder of Hipertextual,
confronted their views about the future of the Internet, social media and how to become a
successful entrepreneur in the digital world.
Working in the age 2.0. Times are changing and how to find a job, too. The contribution of
Alfonso Alcantara, editor in yoriento.com, in his lecture "Use 2.0" was instructive and useful for
the attendees.
Trends in videoclips. Diego Hurtado de Mendoza, director at Cuatro Cabezas, and Manu Trenado,
director at MTV Television, reviewed the best music of the past 30 years, in a speech full of
humor and musical references.
Football and Twitter. The Community managers for Valencia, Real Madrid and Barcelona,
discussed the influence of new media in sports media in a discussion panel moderated by David
Padilla, head of content at Marca.com.
Formative content. Hundreds of hours of learning guarantee the consistency of Campus Party.
The workshops conducted in all content areas enabled the participants to learn from the hands of
reputable professionals in the world of technology, creativity and science.
Robots to suit all tastes. The robotics workshops and competitions, both advanced as those for
those who wanted to take their first steps in this discipline, noted for its diversity and emotion:
from classics robo-trackers to curious climbing robots.
The best Spanish game developers. The fifth edition of Desarrollador_ES prizes, awarded by
DOID (Developers Association of Interactive Digital Entertainment) and Campus Party in Valencia
brought together the best developers in our country.
Lights, camera, action. Hundreds of campuseros participated in the filming of a spectacular
lipdub that went through all the facilities of the event. An explosion of time synchronizing, rhythm
and above all, humor
Pure excitement. As usual in all editions of the event, the games finals generated great buzz and
a large audience gathered in front of the stage. Music, sports, wrestling and strategy were the
most successful fields among participants.
A new record. It's becoming a tradition. The modders have marked the week of Campus Party as a date
that will undoubtedly set a new record for overclocking. And this year did not failed, posting a european
record PC Mark thanks to the sponsorship from Intel.
Keynote speakers

governments should find among them the
solution to the crisis." This statement is
sufficient to define the stay of iWoz at the
Valencian event: an extraordinary
conference and a perfect understanding
with the participants.

can still contribute to the world of digital
creativity.

He encouraged the participants to be part of
it.

make predictions about the future of social
networking, also surprised with a new
conference format in which his speech is
built through the active participation of the
attendees themselves.
Bram Vanderborght

Bram showed to the campuseros its image of
a near future: a world full of robots in the
service of human beings to make our lives
easier. And he did, also with case studies in
which he is investigating and working both in
Europe and Japan.
Frankie de Leonardis

festivals, explained the need to put the talent
to customer service.
Jorge Vigara

The young entertainer from Madrid shared
with the campuseros his experience in some
of the best studios in Europe. He ventured to
predict that the animation cinema soon will
transcend the false label of “made for
children" to reach all type of audiences.
Jordi Torres
Spain
Green Computing Specialist

The effectiveness of new technologies to
conserve the environment is something that
is very familiar with Jordi Torres. Ph.D. in
Computer Science, he demonstrated at
Campus Party with practical examples how
the modification of certain customs based on
new technologies can help the planet.
Raúl Polit
Spain
Space Arquitecture Specialist

Member of the American Institute of
Astronautics and Aeronautics, the Valencian
architect went back to the beginning of the
earliest human settlements, to explain in an
exciting conference how we will inhabit the
space in a not too distant future.
Campuseros present
Campuseros Present has been consolidated as an area in
which to work, innovate and learn new techniques in
development, hardware, hacks, APIs and everything related to
technology. Throughout the week, the participants presented
their projects, turning Campus Party into a forum for
innovation in different disciplines.

Above all the initiatives sent, we selected ten projects that
were submitted to the opinion of a panel of experts. In this final
selection, applications were presented such as social
networks, video games, educational software, animation
series, and even a vehicle capable of carrying a robot to the
moon, among other projects.
The winner of the Innovation Award was Botize, an online tool for creating bots and Twitter services
without any prior technical knowledge, thanks to its API and the availability of plug-ins.
