(57) Abstract :
In 3-D Network-on-Chip (NoC) a packet need multiple clock cycles to traverse from one router to another because of wires, buffer
allocation latency and arbitration cycles. The buffer allocation technique has an important role to play in the design of NoC routers.
The buffers are also source for largest leakage power. The present invention introduces a novel architecture for Virtual Channel
Manager to allocate and de-allocates multiple virtual channels dynamically according to the traffic pattern. The present invention
maximizes throughput by dispensing a variable number of VCs on demand. To reduce the leakage power, a clock gating technique is
applied to shutdown or power up the clock for indvidual virtual channels. The present invention has an synchronous FIFO with VC
IDs that are pre-written to FIFO which enables dispense of VC ID with zero latency. The FIFO is able to dispense or allocate (Read
operation) multiple VC IDs in single clock cycle. A hardware reservation technique is also presented in the invention that provides a
reservation policy for allocation of virtual channel. The reservation policy guarantees that one virtual channel would be reserved for
every physical channel.

(57) Abstract :
A system and method for pedestrian detection uses a single near-infrared (NIR) camera to capture images of the road ahead of the
vehicle. The captured image is then processed for pedestrian detection, by applying Wigner distribution kernel and pixel mapping
using a pre-defined mapping curve. The curve is designed in such a way that the pedestrian boundaries in the image are enhanced. The
values obtained as a result of enhancement are then quantized into a plurality of layers. Further connected component analysis is
utilized for object segmentation and the segmented pedestrians in the image are highlighted for display to the driver.

A system and method for image enhancement utilizing the Generalized Space Frequency Representation (GSFR) is disclosed.
Generally, the images taken in low light condition or in night time are of poor quality. The image enhancement system and method of
the invention enhances the poor quality input image by removing the noise and correcting the brightness, contrast and sharpness of the
image. The image enhancement method comprises of application of Wigner distribution to the input image followed by application of
a mapping curve. The technique of the invention provides visually enhanced images and may be used as an efficient pre-processing
tool for various other image processing applications.

(57) Abstract :
A cycle system 200 having a modified chain and sprocket crank 201 and connected to a pair of pedals . The cycle system 200 has a
first lever arm 204 and a second lever 205 operatively coupled to each other. The second lever 205 has one end of a spring support 206
connected to it and the other end of the spring support 206 is operatively connected to a J bracket 207. The J bracket 207 is operatively
connected to a bottom axle 203 and thereby to the chain and sprocket crank 201. The cycle system 200 on rotational movement of the
pair of foot pedals 202 initiates contraction of the spring support 206, the spring support 206 on contraction stores the potential energy
generated by the rotational movement of the pair of foot pedals . The spring support 206 converts the potential energy into kinetic
energy and supplies the converted kinetic energy via the J bracket 207 and the bottom axle 203 to the chain and sprocket crank 201.
The supplied kinetic energy actuates the desired displacement of the machine operatively connected to the cycle system 200.

(57) Abstract :
The special device is developed by Axiom Valves Pvt. Ltd. by incorporating DC motor coupled to a gear box. Then the output shaft is
fitted with a device so that the power is transmitted up to the point. Speed of the DC motor is continuously reducing stepwise. From
this point onwards motion is required to be obtained in linear direction. Power transmission is obtained by the device in linear
direction. Now it is possible to reciprocate up and down. This innovation is useful for the operation of motorized valve. Tangential
force application has given one more opportunity to enhance the capacity of the drive. Optimum size of the force applicator worm
wheel has been worked out. By reducing the voltage of the DC motor, any desired speed can be obtained depending upon capacity of
the DC motor. Whenever speed is reduced with the help of gear torque jumps to higher value in proportional manner. This device can
be used for butterfly valve, gate valve, globe valve, ball valve and even for the valves whose stem is rising. The mechanism used is so
unique as number of applications can be thought off, such as opening the door, lifting a bed, moving the curtains, opening dampers
and also for controlling swinging and oscillating mechanism. This finds application in modifying machines, robots, automation,
material handling systems, loading systems, security systems, motorized locking systems, hazardous places, aseptic conditions, clean
rooms, defense, nuclear applications, food products manufacturing in automated plant, bio-technology labs etc. This device is one stop
solution for many applications which require electrical driving force.

(57) Abstract :
The present invention relates to a pedestrian detection and tracking system. The system of the present invention provides for object
detection by extracting the probable pedestrian blocks from given input images. The system according to the invention detects edges
in the image which are grouped by merging to form possible pedestrian like image blocks. Profiling is done on the obtained pedestrian
like image blocks to further segment the blocks. The image blocks thus obtained are subjected to aspect ratio and row-logic tests.
Tracking is done for block verification in subsequent frames and the image blocks are displayed. The said pedestrian detection and
tracking system assists vehicle users in varying light intensities and scenarios.
