INDIA Redefined initially a social experiment is
emerging as Peoples Movement in last 2 years with
supporters across Globe, to create the "Unified
Diversity" of the subcontinent known as INDIA into
"Diversified Unity" of a HAPPY INDIA & creating
responsible, empowered citizens by bringing about
“Behavioral Change” by conducting several
programs successfully (See some photographs in
Activities on website) . Accordingly Team INDIA
Redefined is reorganizing its Governing Council
and Board of Trustees.
Aiming to make more Doers than Beneficiaries, Common United Platform (CUP)- INDIA Redefined (IR)

INDIA Redefine’s vision is created by an
amalgamation of Different visions that
ultimately leads to HAPPY INDIA, which ,
may seems UTOPIAN but SOMETHING to
STRIVE FOR. Read about details of Activity
Areas of INDIA Redefined (IR) where
Corporate can be interested for their CSR &
Individuals for their ISR( Individual Social
Responsibility).


Common people till now have only come together if they
are against something; e. g All Independence movements,
Movements against corruption. They have never come on
one platform to work positively for country and then
empowering themselves.
Too few leaders, like Anna, have first built their
credibility by doing their duties. And even the followers
of such leaders have yet to do their duty towards country,
society and community at large. Hence the moral
authority of such movements does not last long and is
dependent on the leader's karma.

All over world the Government Sector(1st Sector), Corporate
Sector(2nd Sector), NGO Sector(3rd Sector) are working but
INDIA Redefined first tried to bring the 4th Sector "The
Common People" working for the betterment of this Country
on one platform in masses across the globe & all the
other three Sectors started supporting INDIA Redefined.
We always blame others for problems--first Mughals, then
Britishers and after independence we blame Politicians. Who
is to be blamed? Us -125 Crore Indians or 540 MPs ?

Our Stakeholders include us - the Citizens of India.

We have to first fulfill our duties and responsibilities, then
we automatically have the moral authority to demand our
rights and once it is done on a unified platform like INDIA
Redefined then nobody will be able to ignore our rights. For
too long as citizens we have demanded our rights through
numerous movements, always ignoring our duties.
INDIA Redefined (IR) is a voluntary movement asking for
Individual Social Responsibility of Common People & is
emerging as a Common United Platform (CUP) of Collective
Responsibility of the 4 pillars of a nation, namely Citizens,
Corporate, NGOs & Government in last two years to create a
HAPPY INDIA.

INDIA Redefined by Donating Time in Activities/Initiatives/ Campaigns of
this Non Political Citizens Empowerment Movement by sending CV &

Corporates partnering with INDIA Redefined will be discussed and finalized
once initial set of activities is identified

 Even Students can Donate Time for our Country & in Initiatives of this Non
Political Citizens Empowerment Movement, INDIA Redefined (IR) by doing
Internship of INDIA Redefined. College/University Students can apply at
youth4change@indiaredefined.org & school students at
teen4change@indiaredefined.org

India Redefined does not collect funds nor distributes
money or freebies. We strive to influence socially
conscious citizen to donate their time for social up liftment
for those who are in need of it. It is not a paid or salaried
position. Your responsibility will be in the area you live so
as to reduce time and expense of travel. Among the
various programs that we support are those programs
where the Central or State governments have already
budgeted and earmarked considerable funds that need to
be implemented on the ground in the true national
development spirit that was intended.

Project – “ CLEAN INDIA” – Small projects and activities
promoting cleanliness.
Project – “ GREEN INDIA” (Environmental and Sustainability
Campaigns)– Small projects & activities promoting greenery,
environment sustainability, pollution reduction etc.
Project – “ EDUCATE INDIA” – Activities and projects in
making the country and citizens educated at different levels.
Students can take “I DONATE” Oath - "I donate 6 months of
my life in teaching or training in some underprivileged schools/
area"

Project – “ HEALTHY INDIA” – Activities and projects related to
Health & Hygiene
“Mission Admission Campaign” – Improve any one College
website after requesting and taking permission College Principals or
the College Authorities , so that students who do not have internet
access can still join their courses.
Project "I Care"–“I Care" is the most successful and flexible Project.
Campaign “ AWAKEN INDIA “ – Various types of awareness and
motivational campaigns
C.U.R.E INDIA Campaign (Citizens United for Redefining &
Empowering India) "Ek Ka Dus" – Make a difference in the lives of
10 (ten) underprivileged Indians to help and guide them, Redefine
their life and empower them with your thinking and association.

Harmony Campaign – Involving people of at least four different
religions
Campaign - Motivating the beggars to stop begging and start
working
"Develop your own village"– (Hamaare Haathon Badalte
Gaon - Our Hands for changing our Villages)
Make INDIA Redefined Collective Responsibility Groups in your
City/Area/Village/School/College by bringing four pillars of
Nation together & doing any event of with that Collective
Responsibility group on the banner of this Common Unified
Platform (CUP) INDIA Redefined - Govt. Sector (1st Sector),
Corporate Sector( 2nd Sector),NGOs Sector(3rd Sector),Citizen
Sector (4th Sector)

Coordinate INDIA Redefined 3rd Sector Partnership Programs - For
NGOs to partner with INDIA Redefined & make them do activities
under INDIA Redefined Banner with their NGO logo on it & involve
other Citizens as volunteer in that activity as a Leader
Coordinate INDIA Redefined Citizen - Corporate Collective
Responsibility Group (CCCRG) - for Citizens to join their Individual
Social Responsibility ISR with Corporate for their Corporate Social
Responsibility .Detailed working arrangements with Corporate
partnering with INDIA Redefined will be discussed and finalized once
initial set of activities is identified

We all have grown up reading the stories of Jesus,
Ram , Paigamber, Guru Nanak Also about great
people like Gandhi, Lakshmi bai, Bhagat Singh,
Abdul Kalam, Maulana Azad and many more.
The stories we read about them are connected to
either their Country or Society and that is what are
motivates us.
Shouldn’t we all try to make our own story
connected to our Country, society or Globe which
can motivate to our future generations.

We all celebrate Independence day, on 15th Aug.
Dreams of great people who have fought and
sacrificed everything for our country came true on
this day. This one day is what great people like
Gandhi, Subhash Chandras ,Bhagat Singh, Lajpat
Rai and many more would have loved to see and
experience.But had these great leaders been here
now what they would have seen? Truth,
nonviolence, harmony have faded, we are running
blindly towards selfish goals, we are aiming for a
lazy life.

Am sure we all think about India's Progress, for India's
Peace and for India but this planet earth too.
You all know about Philanthropy- which I think is act of
generosity associated with donating money, goods,
services, time, and effort to support a socially beneficial
cause. In the modern time, philanthropy has also
extended to corporate involvement and the rise of non-
profit organizations working towards the country’s
development.
Jamshedji Tata is considered as the father of modern
Indian philanthropy.

One thing I do believe is that Philanthropy should be about
having “NET POSITIVE” effect rather than offsetting any
NEGATIVE happening.
For example – a Company trying to offset their Carbon
Footprint is not a “philanthropic act' as they are 'just
cleaning their mess”

When we talk about any charity or service, two acts come in
our mind - The Act of Giving and Receiving - Giving cannot
be called superior and Receiving should not be termed
inferior as Future of Giving depends upon Receiving. If there
is no one to take, whom are we going to give?

This lecture I am giving leads to many other
questions coming in your mind

• Do we want to make India better and this Globe a
better place to live in?
• Are we Fed up of table-talks with no action?
• Are we willing to do our bit for the country?
• Are we Confused how to do this?


I am sure the answer from you will be either
We are Fed up of listening such things with no action.

Are you Promoting INDIA Redefined? Why should I do anything under
INDIA Redefined banner?

I am doing my bit for the country.

To make anything good we need hands & Brain – whether
we are making good food or good building or good Society
or Good & Happy County. However is the bad material of
some old building – just by commenting on it it can never
become Good. To make it better or to make New Building
still we need more hands.
India is not a Cricket Field where we are mere spectators
and cheering or criticizing one particular team, who is
winning or losing. It is our country ,our home - we are
talking about , and we as a citizen are equal stakeholders. If
there is a fire in our own house we will not wait for Fire
Brigade to come, thinking it is their work. We will at least
put two buckets of water.

Everywhere most of us all talk of problems - but do
little

Part of the reason is that we think that solving these are the
Government’s, Politicians, bureaucracy, Economists or
NGO’s, Corporate or Social Worker’s responsibility – not ours -
anyone but us.

We are very fond of talking of our RIGHTS but shy away
from even talking about our responsibilities whether they
are Civic or Social or Societal as a citizen of the country.

What we need For these Changes?
Am sure most of you have already done enough of
things for this but I am talking about creating more
Doers – Don’t you think that requires to light up the
fire in the hearts of every Indian citizen, to be
awakened not only when we need to exercise our
rights and but also to fulfill our obligation &
responsibilities - this fire only comes when we have to
point fingers on others or when we are against
something, but we need a Behavioural change.

Many of us do not even bother to vote and then criticize the people
who are elected on vote bank politics. This INERTIA is the root cause
of many of our problems

We have left governance to people who are
not really our representative, policy to people
who do not feel they are accountable to us,
End we have left Education, Slums, environment
to NGOs & Social Workers who struggle
without our support –the list can go on and
on…And who are “we”? - “Citizens of this
Country”


So came the idea of INDIA Redefined

A movement to create responsible and
empowered citizens by bringing about
“Behavioral Change”.

It is only when we do our duties we shall
be empowered to demand our rights.


It is by this change in behavior that we can
unlock people’s potential to be empowered
citizens

…..and that is what INDIA Redefined is
about.


This will redefine how we think and act as an
Indian …

So, what is the Vision of INDIA Redefined? It is
simply –

CREATING A HAPPY INDIA

And how can we create a Happy India?


Most of the ordinary people want to do
something for the country, they just don't know
how.

The idea is to mobilize these masses and bring
them together.


Something within his resources and available
time.

Be it planting trees or cutting down the
electricity consumption – a simple successful
activity, that would not only be beneficial at a
larger scale but also provide the motivation to
strive for bigger changes.


How does INDIA Redefined do it?

By giving a structure to this… 'Desire to do
Something'.

By creating an opportunity for them, to achieve
small successes in doing something for the
society

Developing this behavioral change across
Indians of all strata, INDIA Redefined
plans to tackle problems, leveraging the
power of individual.

It is a citizen’s empowerment movement - a
platform for ordinary citizens by ordinary
citizens –each fulfilling his own ISR -
Individual Social Responsibility.

WHAT’S SO UNIQUE
ABOUT THIS?


What makes this movement unique or even different?

Well, there are many wonderful organizations, NGO,
Charities which do a lot of wonderful work -
But it never seems to be enough.

Most of them work within a context or for a specific
cause, that the overall positive effect …
... is lost in the gaps.

One of the biggest reasons is that we have not
tapped efficiently into the potential of the individual.
That does not mean INDIA Redefined only wants
INDIVIDUAL SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. INDIA
Redefined also has 3rd Sector Partnership Program -
For NGOs to partner with INDIA Redefined &
Citizen-Corporate Collective Responsibility Group
(CCCRG) - for Citizens to join their Individual Social
Responsibility ISR with Corporate for their Corporate
Social Responsibility CSR.

INDIA Redefined is a platform for people from
different backgrounds, different social
class,having different outlooks and opinions to
come together and work towards redefining
India.
That is why INDIA Redefined’s vision is created
by an amalgamation of different visions that
ultimately leads to a HAPPY INDIA.


It is important to understand that we are not affiliated
with a single political party or motive.
But do not hesitate to work with any and every
political party, business houses or NGO for the right
cause.
By bringing drops of people together on a common
platform INDIA Redefined creates an ocean. Ocean
strong enough to act like a Pressure Group to make
Corruption or any such People accountable but also
make each Indian an Awakened Citizen…

There are people out there who want to 'do
something'…Make a difference. All they need
is the platform.

The idea has not only got support of people but
also many recognitions including Best
Humanitarian Initiative 2009 award

In this long journey of redefining India, we
have taken only a few baby steps

But then again, a journey of thousand miles
begins with a single step…

This idea…. Idea of a movement that is trying to tackle
most, if not all, social issues and help
citizens become empowered by the means of behavioral
change, asks you for only one thing

That is an idea worth spreading…


There are people across Globe who supported
this movement.
These are the people who care deeply for
India! People whose love for India is beyond
measurement! People who want to move India
forward! People who want an India which they
can really be proud of!


But these people are not waiting for a miracle to
happen! They are not day dreaming!They know that
to change India, they have to step up! They realize
that they need a movement! A grass roots movement!
A social movement which is more about awareness,
responsibility and ownership by all of them. They
know that they are manypressing social issues which
need to be addressed! They also know that many of
you have done wonderful job in addressing many
issues! But they know that it is still not enough! They
have to work with all of you to make an impact!

INDIA Redefined draws its inspiration from Gandhian
Movement which was a revolution focused on
independence. It was also about specific actions like
non- cooperation by citizens. We are just trying to
apply many Gandhiji's principles’ in this era, in this
society and during these times. Maybe in a different
flavor! Maybe the context is different! Maybe
it’s a different world! But the goal is same! He also
wanted India a better place to live in.


We know that these things don't happen
overnight and it will take many-many years to
make this happen. We are looking forward to
working with many of you in next many years.
Without your support, it won't be possible to
Redefine India.


So let us AWAKEN INDIA -By bringing about AWARENESS, EDUCATION
&COMMUNICATION

Let us CLEAN INDIA – of CORRUPTION, POLLUTION, UNHYGIENIC
CONDITIONS, DIRTY ENVIRONMENT, CONTAMINATED WATER or

Then only we will be living in a truly HAPPY

Earth.
Let us make an Awakened India, Clean India, Green India,
an Educated India, Healthy India, and Sustainable country
to have a Prosperous and Happy India for ourselves and
the future generation & try to make this Globe a better
place to live in.


This is something an old man of 80 years, an Educationist whose name
is Dr Mithlesh, told me some years back .
“Let us all we move from the state of APATHY to SYMPATHY and finally
graduate to EMPATHY. Every Human Being’s pleasures and sorrows
become our pleasures and sorrows, when anyone of us is humiliated
we feel ourselves humiliated, their aspirations become our aspirations
and their failures our failures What we really require is the refinement of
our basic sensitivity and expansion of our self which is normally limited
to our near and dear ones. With this expansions we begin to identify
ourselves with Nature in all its manifestations, humanity at large. Then
and only then the mother earth will be at Peace and worth living for al
of us. You may call this feeling Empathy or with some other name. But
to me, this state of Mind or Soul is something more than the word
“Empathy” or its equivalents connote.”

Corporate, NGOs , Government of INDIA Redefined in your Cities /
